Bodentest

Field trials with sunflowers and cereals showed differences in plant growth between the effective area of the soil humidification system and the control areas outside the effective area.

"Influence of the AQUAPOL® device active field on plants"

The company Aquapol specializes in drying out buildings. It sells an innovative device that dries out walls. Wilhelm Mohorn, the inventor of Aquapol, wanted to find out whether his devices have an effect on plants or not. To this end, tests were carried out in the laboratory and in the field. A new prototype of the Aquapol device, which has a moistening effect, was also investigated. In the field, two devices, one humidifying and one dehumidifying, were installed on an agricultural field. In 2000, this field was planted with sunflowers and barley. There was a clear difference in biomass of up to 40% between the humidifying and dehumidifying sites. In 2001, the experiment was repeated with wheat without equipment. No significant differences were found. In 2005, the field was again planted with sunflowers and the Aquapol devices were installed, but in reverse order. So where the dehumidifying Aquapol unit was in 2000, the humidifying Aquapol unit was in 2005. However, there was no clear difference between the humidifying and dehumidifying locations. However, the amount of precipitation was distributed differently in the test years. The years 2000 and 2001 were rather dry, but in 2005 about 16% more rain fell than in the comparison years. Accompanying soil tests confirm a higher soil water content in 2005 than in 2000 and 2001. If there is an effect of Aquapol devices, it is only evident in rather dry locations. As soon as there is sufficient water in the soil, which was also shown in the laboratory tests with runner beans, there is no noticeable difference. As it was only possible to measure indications of the effect of Aquapol devices in one year in the course of this work, it is necessary to carry out further trials to definitively clarify this question.

Field trial
Israel

In a field trial in Israel (Mishmar HaNegev), soil moisture increased significantly despite six weeks without rain down to a depth of 2 m (by 10 to 20 percent H₂O by weight). In addition to the main effect, positive side effects such as the formation of energetic force zones and an improvement in the soil environment were observed.

Long-term observations
"Ernst Kortschak"

“Effectiveness of AQUAPOL® technology for controlling soil moisture” (2003 – 2007)

Long-term observations by the independent expert Ernst Kortschak (Mag.rer.soc.oec.) at many test facilities showed a consistently higher soil moisture content in the effective area.
